Dwyane Wade is an amazing basketball player. With his help, the Miami Heat was able to win the 2012 NBA Championship, silencing the critics who said that it wouldn’t happen as soon as it did. However, Dwyane is no one trick pony, the man has also dabbled in fashion, is an amazing father and can now add author to his long list of accomplishments.
Last night, in collaboration with ESPN The Magazine, Dwyane Wade kicked off the celebration of his newly released book A Father First: How My Life Became Bigger Than Basketball at The Jazz at Lincoln Center in NYC. Naturally, the stars came out to help Dwyane celebrate his latest achievement, and the mix of people who showed up reflected all the 30-year-old’s varying interests. People from the worlds of sports, music, fashion and entertainment were in attendance, as was Dwyane’s mother Jolinda Wade and sister Tragil Wade.
D-Wade wore a basic grey suit that fit him amazingly. He has clearly been reading GQ and taking notes; it probably helps that he’s been in the fashion magazine on more than one occasion!
